Marriott Long Beach Downtown M Club Review

During our recent stay at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown, one of the most unexpected highlights was our access to the M Executive Club Lounge, located conveniently on the ground floor. It’s easy to think of club lounges as business-oriented spaces, but this one proved to be so much more — a quiet, refined retreat that perfectly complemented our family holiday.

The M Executive Club Lounge is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing continuous access for Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Marriott Bonvoy members, and their one accompanying guest staying in the same room. While it’s typically marketed for elite travellers, it turned out to be a dream for families too — offering a quiet escape with thoughtful amenities, inviting seating, and around-the-clock refreshments.

From soft booth seating to private nooks, the lounge layout offers comfort and style—perfect for unwinding with a drink or catching up with family in a quiet corner.

A welcoming open-plan space with elegant lighting, chic furniture, and a communal vibe—this lounge felt like an extension of home during our stay.

Throughout the day, we enjoyed complimentary drinks like soft drinks, teas, and coffee, available at the self-serve station. We spent countless hours as a family playing cards and chatting, feeling completely at ease in this cosy but upscale environment. In the evenings, we were treated to a lovely spread of light bites. The lounge served chicken satay with coconut and sesame, along with artichoke stuffed with cheese, and a centre display featuring grapes, cheese, and crackers. For those with a sweet tooth or a need for a nibble, crisps and healthy granola-style bars were also available.

As a vegan, I was especially touched by how accommodating the staff were. They kindly prepared a separate dish of hummus and vegetables, along with tortilla crisps and spicy salsa, ensuring I wasn’t left out of the experience. Their warmth and attention to detail made me feel truly welcome.

We also enjoyed breakfast in the lounge, served between 6:00 am and 10:00 am. It was a lovely experience – relaxed, quiet, and ideal for starting our day without the rush or crowds of a traditional restaurant. The food hit the mark, and it felt like such a treat to enjoy a peaceful morning meal as a family in such a serene setting.

Evening appetisers are served from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by desserts from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, available Sunday through Thursday. Though this is primarily geared toward weekday guests, we happened to be staying at the perfect time and made the most of it.

As a family, we absolutely loved our time in the M Executive Club Lounge at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown. From the warm, attentive staff to the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful offerings, every moment felt special. It gave us space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy little pleasures together — whether over evening snacks, morning breakfast, or a simple game of cards. The lounge became a daily highlight for us, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. It truly elevated our stay and left us with lasting memories we’ll cherish.
