During our stay at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza, one of the highlights of our experience was having access to the Executive Club Lounge — located on the 17th floor, the very top of the hotel. Whether it was for breakfast, afternoon snacks, or evening hors d’oeuvres, the lounge became a treasured space for our family to relax, enjoy excellent service, and take in panoramic views of downtown Los Angeles.
We visited the lounge multiple times during our stay, and each visit offered something special. The space itself was spacious, modern, and quiet, with large windows letting in natural light and offering a lovely cityscape — especially beautiful as the sun went down. Comfortable seating was spread out across several zones, and the entire area felt premium without being pretentious. It was very family-friendly, and our kids absolutely loved it.
Let’s start with breakfast. The lounge offers a morning service from 6:00am to 9:00am on weekdays, and 7:00am to 9:30am on weekends. It included a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, light breakfast items, and a variety of juices. The presentation was clean and thoughtful — fruits were bright and fresh, and there was a good range of baked items to suit different preferences. While the options leaned toward continental-style offerings, there was plenty to start the day on a light and healthy note.
We also stopped by at 2pm, and were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely snack setup. Available for guests were mini sweets, white chocolate pretzels, chocolates, crisps, and fresh fruit. It was the perfect way to take a break from exploring Los Angeles. Our kids especially loved the snack options — helping themselves to sweet treats and crisps while we relaxed with tea and soaked in the view. The laid-back mid-afternoon vibe was perfect for families.

But the most memorable visit was undoubtedly in the evening, when the Executive Club Lounge served its chef-inspired hors d’oeuvres from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, alongside a generous selection of California wines, beers, and spirits. The offerings were impressive. On the evening we attended, the spread included chicken empanadas, egg roll vegetable spring rolls, hummus, cheeses, fresh-cut vegetables, crisps, and macaroons for dessert. The setup was elegant yet approachable — perfect for a relaxed evening meal without having to leave the hotel.
As a vegan, I was touched by the extra effort made by the staff. Without hesitation, the wonderful lady on duty offered to prepare a special vegan meal just for me. She brought out a warm vegan mince risotto, paired with fresh hummus, pitta bread, and a generous portion of vegetables. It was delicious, nourishing, and so appreciated. It’s rare to receive that level of personal care in a lounge environment, and her kindness genuinely stood out.
Throughout our visits, the service in the lounge was exceptional. Plates were cleared promptly, drinks were refreshed, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It felt like more than just a food stop — it was a place where we could come together as a family, talk about our day, and unwind in comfort.
The Executive Club Lounge became our quiet retreat above the city. From the peaceful breakfasts to the lively evening bites, it offered value far beyond just food and drink. Our kids still talk about the macaroons and chocolate pretzels — and for us adults, the evening wine and views were just what we needed after a long day out.
If you’re staying at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel, Executive Club Lounge access is absolutely worth it. Whether you're after a calm morning start, a midday treat, or an elegant evening unwind, this top-floor lounge delivers in style — and heart. It turned out to be one of our favourite parts of the entire hotel experience.
