Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel Bedroom Review

Family travel can be a mix of excitement and chaos, especially with kids, luggage, and jet lag in the mix. But our stay at the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel turned what could’ve been a typical airport stopover into something unexpectedly delightful. From the moment we stepped into our Club Double Queen Room, we felt like we had found a hidden gem—right next to LAX, but miles away from the stress.

The room itself was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Our two kids were immediately excited, exploring every corner and calling dibs on their side of the bed. The two queen beds were not only spotless and beautifully made, but the pillows and duvets were so soft and inviting, it felt like we were sleeping on clouds. After a long travel day, that comfort made all the difference.

The space felt modern, bright, and airy, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that let in loads of natural light. The walls were tastefully decorated with stylish artwork, and the room featured sleek lines and a cool, contemporary design. The large mirror on the wall made the space feel even bigger, and the kids couldn’t resist using it for their impromptu dance routines!

What really blew us away, though, were the thoughtful touches waiting for us. The hotel had prepared the warmest welcome: a fresh fruit platter overflowing with juicy watermelon, orange slices, berries, and grapes—perfect for recharging after the flight. Alongside were three elegant bottles of Acqua Panna water and glasses, giving us a little taste of luxury right off the bat.

The kids were over the moon when they discovered a lovely Renaissance-branded gift bag on the desk filled with goodies—an LA-themed chocolate bar, gummy raspberry treats, and a box of classic See’s Candies. It was such a small gesture, but it made them feel so special. You could see how proud they were telling us, “They gave us our own treats!”

The entertainment setup was spot on—an enormous flat-screen TV, which became the kids’ evening highlight while we unpacked and relaxed. The desk area was also really practical, with plenty of charging points (a lifesaver for all our devices), and the overall layout made it easy for all four of us to have our own space without feeling cramped.

The bathroom was another highlight. It was immaculately clean and surprisingly upscale, with a full-length backlit mirror, smooth countertop, and plenty of plush towels neatly stacked underneath. The tub-shower combo made it easy to bathe the kids, and the rainfall showerhead was a luxury we both appreciated. It was the kind of bathroom that makes you pause and think, “Why don’t we have this at home?”

Another big win was being on the same floor as the Executive Club Lounge. Having quick access to drinks, snacks, and breakfast without needing to take the lift was incredibly convenient. The kids especially loved the variety of snacks available, and we loved the convenience of grabbing a coffee or light bite just steps from our room.

In a nutshell, the Renaissance LAX gave us more than just a place to sleep. It gave us comfort, calm, and a bit of luxury during our travels—something we’ve learned to truly value as a family. If you’re travelling through Los Angeles and want a hotel that actually caters to families (without compromising on quality), we couldn’t recommend the Club Double Queen Room at the Renaissance more.

We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we might even stay longer.
