This is a popular place in Jinan for cheap fashion, and one of the best places to find fake branded clothes and accessories. It is not a fancy mall. Rather, it can be a bit crowded and noisy with customers and sellers chatting and bargaining..
You will not immediately see any knockoffs at first, so you may need to look around. Talk to the vendors and nicely ask for the things you need. Also, don't be scared to haggle. In addition to the already low prices, you can secure even better deals by bargaining.
Like many other cities, there are so many small street-level markets across Jinan. These are the types of places you might see while walking around busy areas. They are not in big buildings. Most of the sellers set up stalls along the side of the road, under a roof, or even just have a table and a chair.
You will often find these markets near busy streets, schools, bus stations, and train stations. Some are there every day, while others pop up only in the evenings or on weekends and sell pretty much everything.
You will find clothes, shoes, belts, bags, phone cases, watches, and sunglasses, some with logos of famous brands, others without. You might see a “Nike” T-shirt, “Gucci” wallets, and “Apple” earphones.
Night markets are markets that come alive in the evenings and last for the better part of the night. Most of them sell a lot of delicious food, but you will also find stalls selling clothes, shoes, and all sorts of fashion items, including fake branded products.
One of the most popular night market areas is Quancheng Road. During the day, it is a busy shopping street. At night, small vendors set up stalls along the sides, selling everything from socks to sneakers to jewellery to bags.
There is also usually music, colourful lights, and just lots of people walking around, talking, and laughing. It is a great place to stroll around, grab some snacks, and simply enjoy the vibe, even if you are not looking for anything in particular.
Shopping in Jinan’s fake markets is more than just buying cheap things. You get to meet new people, enjoy local street foods, and really experience Jinan in a wholesome way. You might also want to bring a friend along, especially when visiting the street or night markets, as it is nice to have some company to enjoy the evening with as you browse the stalls.
