We were delighted to arrive at the InterContinental Shenzhen for our family holiday in Shenzhen. We had booked a special kids theme room which was the King Bed Joy Kids Utopia Family Room and it was even better than we had imagined. This King Bed Joy Kids Utopia Family Room had a unique, ocean-inspired theme that made our family feel right at home. The room was decorated with accents of blues and greens, with the main theme being under the sea. The furniture was all themed to match the under the sea theme, making it the perfect place for our family. It was one of the most spectacular themed rooms we had ever seen.

Now this is was not just any room! The room was very unique with ample space to spread out with colourful carpeting and a large double bed, complete with starfish throw cushions and ocean themed throw. The dresser has vault type doors, giving you a real sense that you have stepped into a real pirate ship. There was plush carpet accented with jellyfish that was integrated throughout the entire room. The kids were so excited to see the room. As soon as they entered, they ran around the room in excitement, taking in all the details. They looked at the walls, the furniture, and the decorations. They were both so captivated by the room that they just stood there, taking it all in. They peeked behind furniture, opened closets, and even opened drawers to see what was inside. They were so eager to discover everything the room had to offer.

This was one of the best themed rooms our kids have ever stayed in. To one side was the children's bed, a little hidden gem for our children to crawl into as they drifted off to sleep. The children's bed had a futuristic feel, complete with large windows, giving them easy access and a fun place to sleep. This is where they loved spending most of their time in their room and where they had the most fun in the room. The kids had a great time playing and exploring the room, whilst us adults were able to relax in the peace and quiet of the room.

We loved how everything had been carefully designed, right down to the half moon bedside tables, relaxing sofa and bench at the end of the bed. The children felt really special sleeping in their special themed room and it was truly a magical experience for our children. They drifted off to sleep in this under the sea styled guest room with a big smile on both of their faces.

Our kids had such a fun time in this room and never wanted to leave! The InterContinental Shenzhen King Bed Joy Kids Utopia Family Room was definitely a hit with its themed bed, bedding, and alarm clocks that make it easy to keep track of activities. Every detail of the room was thoughtfully planned and executed, and our kids were delighted by it all. It was hands-down the best themed room they have ever stayed in and we highly recommend it to families with children who love to explore and unique style rooms. We look forward to returning to this hotel in the near future – it was definitely an unforgettable experience!
