InterContinental Shenzhen King One Bedroom Suite With Lounge Access Review

As a family of four, we were really lucky to stay in the king one bedroom suite with lounge access at InterContinental Shenzhen, giving us all the space we needed. This beautifully decorated suite gave us seventy five square metres of space, while we enjoyed our own large king sized bed.

When it came to meeting the needs of our family, this suite ticked all the boxes. It gave our children space to run and play, while giving us space to relax and soak up the garden views with our morning coffee. As any parent knows, when travelling with two young children, space is precious and staying in this suite, meant our children could bring out their toys and play, even run around, as we had the space of an apartment.

We found from the minute we walked through the door of our suite, we felt comfortable, relaxed and spoiled. Directly in front of us was the coffee and tea station with a coffee machine and choice of pods. We chose the king one bedroom suite with lounge access room as it gave privacy to us adults and the hotel kindly arranged extra beds in the living room for our children. Our children were more than comfortable and there was no risk of them kicking each other and waking up through the night.

This suite was luxurious and clean, being summer the air conditioning was an added benefit, helping to keep us cool and refreshed. When staying in any hotel, the size of the room makes all the difference. We found with four of us, we were not cramped. Our children would curl up on one of the large armchairs to watch television, while we made use of the complimentary wireless and work desk to check our emails and stay in touch with home.

A benefit to us is that the suite came with a coffee machine, which was thoroughly enjoyed each morning, while there is also complimentary bottled water, which we kept cool in the mini fridge for our children.

The bathroom was sheer luxury with a large round bath and separate shower. It made bathing our children even easier, as they got to enjoy a deep and fun bubble bath, while we could have a quick shower. After a day of exploring, the bath was a treat, soaking in the bath and just taking some time for myself. Afterwards you get to wrap yourself up in a complimentary bathrobe and throw on some slippers. It was a truly luxurious bathing experience.

This king one bedroom suite with lounge access offered an abundance of natural light with soft carpeting, making it comfortable for our children to pull out their Lego and play on the floor. It had a homely feel and was so spacious we never found our children getting under our feet as we made our way around the suite, which is something we have experienced in other guest rooms around the world.
