The Executive Club Lounge at JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort turned out to be one of our favourite places during our stay. Located on the 10th floor of the hotel, the lounge is open daily from 6:30am to 10:00pm and provides a tranquil, spacious, and well-designed escape from the busyness of Anaheim.
As soon as we stepped into the lounge, we were struck by the amount of natural light flooding the space thanks to the large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the city. The seating is modern and thoughtfully arranged, with a mix of communal tables, bar seating along the windows, small dining tables, and soft leather armchairs. It was a space that felt grown-up and peaceful, yet entirely welcoming for a family with young children.
The lounge offers a continental breakfast every morning, which we found to be a lovely and quiet way to start the day. It’s great to have a dedicated space for a relaxed breakfast without the need to rush or queue — especially with kids.
During the daytime, the lounge offers light snacks which are perfect for a quick bite or simply relaxing with a drink. We found bananas, yoghurts, cereal bars, and crisps laid out for guests. There was also a generous selection of soft drinks, hot drinks, and bottled water available to help yourself to throughout the day. It’s ideal for when the kids want something between meals or need a moment to rest in a quiet space.
The highlight for us, though, was the evening service. Between 5:00pm and 7:30pm, the lounge serves hors d'oeuvres — and it’s not just finger food. There was a lovely spread of olives, mixed nuts, cheeses, cold cuts, tortilla chips, dips, spring rolls, little pizzas, dried bananas, and fresh fruit. Everything was beautifully presented and frequently replenished by the attentive staff.
We sat together at a table by the window, enjoying our evening bites while watching the sun begin to set over the city. There was a calmness in the room despite other guests coming and going. The lounge never felt crowded or noisy — a big plus when travelling with children.
Later in the evening, from 8:00pm to 9:00pm, dessert is served. We returned to the lounge once more to enjoy the final offering of the night: a selection of cakes. On this occasion, there was a rich pecan pie and a soft, creamy tiramisu cake. Both were delicious and felt like a perfect way to wind down after a busy day exploring Anaheim.
The real magic moment came at 9:30pm, when the Disneyland fireworks started. With a clear view of Disneyland from the lounge’s windows, we gathered as a family to watch the show. The lights dimmed naturally as the sky darkened, and the kids were captivated, faces pressed against the glass, taking in the colourful bursts lighting up the skyline. It was one of those simple, unforgettable moments we’ll treasure for a long time.
What we also appreciated was how well the lounge caters to families. There were high chairs available, wide open areas to navigate with ease, and enough variation in the seating to suit everyone — from toddlers to grandparents. Even the atmosphere was relaxed and inclusive. We never once felt out of place or that the space was only meant for business travellers.
The decor is clean and modern, with subtle design touches — potted greenery on the tables, soft lighting, and neutral tones — that give the lounge a classy yet welcoming feel. It's the kind of place where you can just as easily bring your laptop for a quiet work session or sit back and enjoy a coffee while chatting with family.
Access to the Executive Club Lounge genuinely elevated our stay. It gave us a daily routine we looked forward to: stopping by for drinks, enjoying the evening food options, and making dessert an event in itself. It was more than just a lounge — it was a space that brought comfort, convenience, and a little bit of luxury into our family trip.
If you’re staying at JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort, and you have the option to book a room with Executive Club Lounge access, it’s absolutely worth considering — especially if you're travelling as a family. Whether you're pausing between theme park outings or seeking a relaxing moment with a view, the lounge provides that perfect touch of calm and care in the middle of an energetic city.
