Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach offers a dedicated kids club, known as Bam Bam Club, open daily from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, providing supervised entertainment for children aged four to twelve. Younger children are welcome under parental supervision.
Located on the ground floor, adjacent to the family pool and splash pad, you will find Bam Bam Club. It boasts an indoor and outdoor club area. Indoors is a large, open plan design, that is light and bright, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows with an abundance of natural light. A large whale hangs from the ceiling, giving it an underwater theme, along with ample tables and chairs for arts, crafts and games, and a large soft play area to relax, or play with plush toys.
This kids club offers a variety of toys and games to keep children busy during free play, including a selection of wooden toys, puzzles, and board games. They do not promote electronic consoles, encouraging creativity and sociability. The kids club at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach has a dedicated team of trained childminders, who are passionate in encouraging the children to engage with the activities, and make new friends with other children staying at the resort. They separate the time throughout the day, making use of the indoor arts and crafts zone on wet days and during the hottest times of the day, while the outdoor playground is used to encourage free play, complete with mini cars and a ball house. The splash pool and slide are used on warm days, enabling children to cool off and have fun in a safe and supervised environment.
Children can spend the entire day in the kids club and not get bored. There is always something going on with a range of scheduled activities. The kids club team regularly schedule arts and crafts sessions that include painting, card making, necklace making, and sand art. Other fun activities include balloon art and plasticine modelling, along with toy making. They also hold regular Thai traditional games for children to take part in, along with candy hunts. Cooking mini classes are also offered from time to time, where children can learn to make pancakes and cookies.
The team work hard to include educational games and experiences, such as guided tours of the Butterfly Sanctuary or Reef Education Centre. While there is no dedicated teens club, older children can also enjoy their holiday, taking part in a full range of activities including table tennis, snorkelling the private reef, and beach games. The kids club at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach is offered complimentary to all children staying at the resort. There is also babysitting services available, at an additional charge. This enables parents to hire a babysitter for younger children under the age of four in the kids club, enabling them to enjoy the activities, while parents can enjoy the adult facilities provided by the resort, knowing their children are fully supervised and entertained.
