Shangri-La Singapore have taken their younger guests into consideration, being the first hotel on Orchard Road to offer a dedicated programme for families and children. The hotel boasts an interactive indoor play area, open daily from 9.00am to 6.30pm, along with an outdoor water playground, offering younger guests hours of fun and entertainment. The kids club at Shangri-La Singapore, known as Buds, is an interactive indoor play area, where children can spend hours playing, exploring, and having fun. This large kids club, spans over five hundred and seventy two square metres, offering creative play. This is a supervised kids club for children aged four years and older, charged at SGD 36 per child for three hours. Of course, children under the age of four are welcome in this kids club, when accompanied by a parent or adult.
The kids club also offers scheduled entertainment, with Bake for Fun, being a highlight for younger guests. It embraces your child's passion for baking in the fully equipped bake room. This is a hands-on experience, provided by the hotel's pastry chef, charged at SGD 48 to SGD 68 per child per session. These baking sessions are around one hour and recommended for children aged five and older.
In addition to this, they offer Symphony Buds on Wednesdays from 9.30am to 2pm. This is an introduction to classical music, where children learn about different instruments. Overall, the indoor kids club offers hours of fun and entertainment for children, with a large indoor tree hours, slides into a large ball pit, climb through walls, and a large piano keyword, that you walk on and it plays music as the children move.
Shangri-La Singapore also provides and outdoor water playground for children, called Splash. Please note, Splash will be going under renovation from 9 September to 30 November 2024. The outdoor water playground is one thousand, three hundred square metres of aquatic interactive space, with six unique water play areas, and a family pool. It offers lazy rivers to vertical slides, water spouts, cannons, and shallow wading areas.
This is an unsupervised space, but do not worry, parents can relax in a deck chair by the pool, while children cool down in the heat. It offers families some precious bonding time while in Singapore, with parents and children being able to enjoy the water playground together. As a Shangri-La Singapore guest with registered children, you can enjoy one session nightly in the water playground during your stay.
In addition to the indoor kids club and the outdoor water playground, Shangri-La Singapore also offers a fun and exciting Treasure Hunt, bringing families together as you explore the hotel, finding the answers on the treasure map. Children are delighted when they complete the hunt and are rewarded with a surprise treat. The treasure hunt can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Overall, Shangri-La Singapore have gone out of their way to ensure their younger guests feel special and important, providing them with their own unique spaces to have fun, play, and let off steam.
