Look closely at ventilation units or wall-mounted AC systems, room size (smaller rooms cool faster), and curtains or blackout blinds (important for heat control). Sometimes images give clues about how modern or updated the cooling system is.
Newer or recently renovated properties are far more likely to have strong air conditioning, better insulation, improved window sealing, and more efficient cooling systems. Older historic buildings may not always have strong or consistent cooling.
For travelling with kids, indoor comfort is just as important as room comfort. Check for indoor play areas within the facility, air-conditioned lounges, covered pools or shaded pool areas, and on-site restaurants with indoor seating. These spaces help break up hot days without needing to go outside.
There is no single destination that guarantees perfect air conditioning everywhere, and there is no country that completely lacks it either. The real difference comes down to the specific accommodation you choose.
