Where’s the best Fake Market in Dubai now that Dragon Mart Changed?

Where’s the best Fake Market in Dubai now that Dragon Mart Changed?

When visiting Dubai, most travellers are often excited about one common thing: shopping. From legit luxury goods to cheap bargains, the country is like one big hub spot for shopping.  You will find designer malls filled with the latest collections, traditional souks selling gold and spices, and, for many years, multiple fake markets, where you can get unbelievably high-quality fake items at unbelievably low prices.

Dragon Mart was a popular spot for fake goods, but there are many more places to look. Take a look at them below.

Karama Market

Karama has been around for many years and is probably now one of the most famous places for fake goods in Dubai. Unlike Dragon Mart, which is one huge mall, Karama is more like a neighbourhood filled with many small shops side by side.

At first glance, you will see shops selling clothes, souvenirs, handbags, and shoes that look fairly normal. But if you look closely or inquire more, you will be shown the best catalogue of fake items.

As always, bargaining is part of the fun. Don’t just pay the first price they ask you. Ask for a better price, and it often goes down, allowing you to get even more things. Quality also varies, so while there are really good-looking items, there will always also be low-quality products. Make sure to check properly before buying.

Fahidi Street

Fahidi Street is in Bur Dubai, one of the city’s oldest areas. It doesn’t have the same reputation as Dragon Mart or Karama, but it is a great place for people hunting for cheap electronics, phone accessories, and watches.

You will also find fake branded goods here, like handbags, wallets, and shoes. The street is busy and full of small shops, each trying to grab your attention. Like many other fake markets, you will mostly see regular items at first, but if you ask, you might just get the best deals.

Quality is mixed, and some products may not last long. As always, bargaining is a part of the game too. Prices can drop by half or more if you negotiate well.

Deira District

Deira is one of the oldest shopping districts in Dubai, known for traditional souks, like the Gold Souk, Spice Souk, and Perfume Souk. These are legitimate markets where people go for real gold, spices, and fragrances.

However, if you take a walk in small side alleys and lesser-known shops, some traders quietly sell fake items. Unlike Karama, where sellers are more used to dealing with tourists, Deira’s fake market scene is a little more old-fashioned. You may have to ask around and be patient. Sellers usually don’t display fake items openly.

Conclusion

Dragon Mart might have been big when it comes to fake goods, but it is not the only place. Other markets, like Karama Market, are also excellent. You are sure to find just about anything you need, including all types of clothing items, cosmetics, shoes, electronics, and more.
