Can You Still Rent Baby Strollers Inside Disney Parks?

A trip to Disney is a magical adventure, but for families with little kids, it can be quite a lot of work. There may be lots of walking, waiting in lines, and navigating through crowds, which can be tiring and even frustrating.

Small children often get tired quickly, and carrying them around all day is not only exhausting for parents but also takes away from the fun of the trip. That’s where strollers come in.

Can You Rent A Baby Stroller Inside Disney Parks?

Yes, you can definitely rent a baby stroller at Disney. However, there are a couple of things that you should know, such as where to rent, how much it costs, what types are available, and if it is better to bring your own. Let’s take a closer look at all of these in detail.

Stroller Rentals at Disney

All Disney Parks have stroller rental services available. These strollers are designed for Disney adventures. They are usually lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, and built for comfort.

They are also usually available right at the entrance of each park, making it convenient to pick one up as you arrive. You can get a single stroller for one child or a double stroller for two children. Their designs might be slightly different, but generally, they are plastic with a sunshade, cup holders, and space for small bags.

Parents can choose to pay for just one day or purchase a multi-day rental pass. Multi-day passes can save money if you are planning several days in the parks. However, note that Disney strollers cannot be taken outside of the parks. If you leave and come back the same day, you can present your receipt and get another stroller without paying again.

Cost of Stroller Rentals

Stroller rentals at Disney are not included in your park ticket, so you will need to pay extra if you want one. The price depends on the type of stroller you choose. Renting a single stroller for one child costs less than renting a double stroller that can fit two children.

If you are visiting the park for several days in a row, Disney also offers a multi-day rental option, so you can pay once for the number of days you will be there and save a little compared to paying daily.

Rules and Restrictions

Disney has stroller guidelines that all visitors, whether they are renting or bringing their own, should know. The main guidelines are:

  • Strollers must not exceed 31 inches wide and 52 inches long.
  • Stroller wagons are not allowed inside Disney parks.
  • Rental strollers must remain inside the parks and cannot be taken back to hotels.

Should you Bring Your Own?

Is it better to bring your own stroller or rent? Both options have their own benefits and disadvantages. Renting a stroller from Disney is very convenient. You don’t have to worry about carrying it on buses or even on the plane if you are flying in. The stroller will be ready for you as soon as you walk into the park.

On the downside, if your child is used to another type of troller, Disney’s strollers might not be as cosy for them. And, they can only be used inside the park. If you are staying several days, the rental cost can also build up.

Bringing your own stroller, on the other hand, gives you more comfort and flexibility. Your child will likely find it easier to nap in, and you can use it outside the parks too, in your hotel, around the airport, or when exploring the city and other places. You also avoid paying the daily fee.

However, the trade-off is that it can be a burden and take up extra space when you are not using it, like when travelling or when using Disney transportation.
