Our recent stay at the Conrad London St James hotel offered a delightful and unforgettable experience, especially for our little ones. We were a family of four, with two adults and two children, staying for one night in their family connecting room. The attention to detail in the children’s accommodations and the luxury in ours made our short stay nothing short of magical.
Upon entering the children’s room, we were greeted by an enchanting sight that seemed to have leaped out of a storybook. The room was aptly named "Welcome to Storytale Land," a promise that was fulfilled in every inch of the space. Two cosy twin beds awaited, promising restful sleep under the watchful eyes of green, lush green trees that seemed to grow from the very walls of the room.
Above, the ceiling was transformed into a magical sky, where fluffy white cotton clouds floated, casting a dreamy ambiance. Adding to the enchantment were hanging branches on the walls adorned with twinkling LED lights, creating an illusion of a starlit night within the forest. The room's centrepiece, a beautifully crafted tent, was an invitation to endless adventures. Equipped with beautiful log pieces and an imaginary fire display, it was a haven for imaginative play, storytelling, or simply a cosy retreat.
The decor was a thoughtful blend of whimsy and comfort, with pillows that added pops of colour and a warm glow emanating from the beautiful lights within the tent. It wasn’t just a room; it was a leap into a world where fairytales came to life. A sign reading "Welcome to Storytale Land," adorned with leaves and magic mushrooms, set the tone for an enchanting stay, ensuring that our children felt like they had stepped into a realm of wonder.
The room also boasted modern amenities with a magical twist. A high-definition TV, Media Hub, and Chromecast were seamlessly integrated, ensuring entertainment was always within reach, yet never breaking the spell of the room's enchantment.
The magic extended to the bathroom, a modern marvel that catered to our practical needs while echoing the room’s enchanting theme. It was a space of sleek design and contemporary fixtures, where functionality met fantasy. The modernity of the bathroom, with its clean lines and high-tech features, provided a stark, refreshing contrast to the whimsicality of the bedroom, yet it was a seamless part of the overall magical experience.
Transitioning to our connecting room, the ambiance shifted to one of understated elegance and comfort. Our room boasted a spacious king bed, inviting a restful night after a day of exploring London. The presence of a desk in the corner of the room added a practical element, allowing for a quiet space to plan our next day’s adventure or catch up on emails.
The decor in our room was refined, with each piece thoughtfully chosen to create a serene and welcoming environment. Our room, like our children’s, came equipped with a high-definition TV, Media Hub, and Chromecast, ensuring our entertainment needs were fully met.

They were presented with a charming assortment of treats that immediately brought smiles to their faces.
It included a bottle of apple juice and orange juice, offering a refreshing start to our luxurious stay. But the enchantment didn't stop there. Two magical Easter eggs, each adorned with intricate designs featuring whimsical white rabbits, seemed to whisper tales of wonder and adventure, capturing the children's imagination instantly.
Adding to the treasure trove were two fairytale books, promising evenings filled with enchanting stories and mythical lands. These books were not just stories; they were gateways to worlds of imagination, designed to entertain and inspire our little ones during our stay.
Not to be left out, we, the adults were treated to a surprise that was equally captivating and spoke of the hotel's attention to detail and understanding of luxury. A bottle of Ayala champagne awaited us, its reputation for exquisite taste setting the tone for a celebratory and memorable stay. Accompanying the champagne were two stunning Easter eggs, beautifully decorated with colourful flowers, offering a feast for the eyes as well as symbolising the joy of the season.
The thoughtfulness extended further with two soft drinks, providing a refreshing touch alongside the sophistication of champagne. Moreover, a small Easter egg filled with smarties and marshmallows added a playful and sweet note to our welcome, blending the essence of luxury with the warmth of home.
This thoughtful surprise from the hotel was a beautiful introduction to our stay, reflecting Conrad London St James' commitment to creating memorable experiences for all guests. It was a celebration of the moment, ensuring our stay was filled with joy, wonder, and the luxury of personal touch.
