As a family of four, we found our recent stay at the Conrad London St James one we will remember. Being two adults and two children, we spent one night in the family connecting room that was a delightful experience for our little ones. The children's accommodation was planned out to the finest detail, while our room was luxurious and comfortable. It made our stay magical and unforgettable.
The children's faces lit up when we first entered the children's room, it was a scene from a storybook. The room is named “Welcome to Storytale Land,” and every inch of the space was magical for our children. The room boasts two twin beds with the walls adorned in green trees.
The room had been designed paying close attention to what inspires and excites children. The ceiling was decorated as a sky, complete with clouds. The tree branches that adorned the walls were filled with LED lights, giving the impression of a starry sky. In the centre was a beautiful tent, set on a green carpet to give the feeling of grass, filled with comfortable cushions. The tent was completed by an imaginary fire place. It had a very cosy feel that was designed for imaginative play.
The kids twin room had been designed with great care to provide the children with comfort. It had touches of colour and warm glow that came from the lights inside the tent. There was a sign that read “Welcome to Storytale Land.” It was covered in magic mushrooms and leaves, setting the stage for our children.
The room didn't lose the modern amenities you expect when staying in a luxury hotel. There was a high-definition flat-screen television, media hub, and Chromecast, providing entertainment for the kids when they wanted to relax.
The kids room opened into its own en-suite bathroom that was modern and practical. It was sleek in design with contemporary fixtures, including a walk in shower. While it was a contrast from the magical experience in the twin room, it was practical and functional, offering everything children need.
Stepping into our bedroom, we were delighted to find a space that was elegant and comfortable with a spacious king-size bed. It was a haven after a day of exploring the London attractions. There was a desk in the one corner offering a space to set up our laptop to check our emails and share our experiences with family and friends via social media.
Our king room was very elegant and comfortable. Every detail had been taken into consideration to create an environment that was comfortable and welcoming. This room was also equipped with a high definition television mounted on the wall, media hub, and Chromecast. This enabled us to relax and watch what we wanted, while the children watched their children's programmes in their own room without disturbing us.
Our en-suite bathroom was modern and spacious, equipped with high end amenities, including bathrobes. The functional marble bathroom boasted a relaxing bath. It blended seamlessly into the modern and elegant design of our king room.
Shortly after checking into our room, we found that guest relations had put a welcome hamper in the kids twin room. There was an orange and an apple juice, magical Easter eggs designed with white rabbits, that immediately triggered our children's imaginations.
There were also two fairytale books, filled with stories and tales to ignite the children's imaginations as they enjoyed their own private and magical guest room.
The children were not the only ones to be spoiled on arrival and to our surprise there was a welcome hamper in our king room that included a bottle of Ayala champagne, along with two Easter eggs that were decorated in colourful flowers. It was a wonderful way to immediately make us all feel welcome and special.
There were also two soft drinks set alongside the beautiful bottle of champagne, along with a small Easter egg that was brimming with Smarties and Marshmallows, adding a sweet touch to our arrival. This made our arrival not only one of luxury, but added a touch of home. We all felt really welcomed.
These small hampers made a big difference to our overall impression from the moment we stepped into our family connecting room. It instantly created a memorable experience, showcasing the commitment to excellence that Conrad London St James offers.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Conrad London St James. We enjoyed the ultimate in luxury, while our children loved their guest room with a whimsical touch. The family connecting room is the perfect choice to provide parents with some quiet time, while the children loved their own room that was brimming with exciting stories. Every aspect of the room was delightful from the modern amenities to the luxurious touches. We have agreed that we cannot wait to return in the future.
