Our family of four enjoyed our dining experience at the Gild Lounge & Bar at Hilton Birmingham Metropole. It's always a worry when travelling with children on whether they are going to enjoy the experience or not. Staying in the hotel, this beautiful venue caught our eye and we decided to give it a try. Open throughout the day, it offers a very appealing menu, catering to all tastes. The bar is the focal point of the space, surrounded by blue chairs and tables, creating a sophisticated and vibrant space.
The striking interior design of the Gild Lounge & Bar makes you feel welcome and relaxed. It is a sophisticated and beautiful space, complete with plush orange sofas and wooden parquet flooring. You see touches of colour everywhere, along with gold tones, that showcases Birmingham's manufacturing history. The overall aesthetics of the space enhances your dining experience.
This lounge and bar is large, accommodating a high volume of guests at any time with ease. Hilton has a reputation for their attentive and personalised services, and this can be seen when visiting this beautiful space. The staff are eager to provide their guests with first class services, enhancing your experience.
We started our dining experience with some refreshments, this included bottled water for the children and we enjoyed a cider and Nqito cocktail. The drinks were perfect, at the right temperature and the cocktail was delicious, setting the stage for our culinary evening ahead. The Gild Bar & Lounge offers a vast menu and the children quickly selected pizza, while we chose a Moving Mountains plant burger with chips and a cod and chips, complete with Gochujang cauliflower wings. Every dish was presented to perfection and arrived quickly. The service was excellent, which is what we expected staying in a luxury hotel. The food was outstanding, showcasing the chefs passion for high quality ingredients and presenting fantastic flavours.
After enjoying our main meals, we opted for dessert. We didn't want this culinary experience to end. We indulged in some vegan chocolate fudge cake, a very mouthwatering strawberry cheesecake, and vanilla ice cream for the children. The desserts were also well presented and delicious. The attention to detail was fantastic, rounding off our meal to perfection.
As we look back at our experience at the Gild Lounge & Bar at Hilton Birmingham Metropole, we were not disappointed. The team provide an outstanding service in a modern, inviting, and sophisticated space. The food was excellent, the staff attentive, and every detail was taken into consideration to provide us with a fabulous dining experience.
