The Kids Club at Hotel Fairmont The Palm is known as the Falcon Club and invites children as young as 18 months to be left in their care. This, obviously, will be discussed with parents on an individual basis to ensure parents are happy that the child is in someone else’s care and that it suits the child to be in this environment. These toddlers and those up to three years old are allowed attendance at 65 AED per hour, and those between three years and twelve are offered a complimentary two hours every day.
The Kids Club opens at 10:30 am and closes at 7 pm, with time slots of two hours per session to allow half an hour for cleaning after every two-hour period. Parents and guardians are advised to book time slots at least 24 hours in advance as space is limited at times.
Kids are offered good space to move around and enjoy free play with the other little ones that attend at the same time. The staff in charge are well versed in dealing with young children and their needs and requirements; therefore activities are offered to appeal to children at their stage of development, with age one of the dominant factors.
Parents that want to leave their children in a safe space during the hours that they need to go about their own business, are assured that the Kids Club at Hotel Fairmont The Palm meets all expectations in terms of which children are made to feel welcome. They are given play time, the chance to meet others around their own age, and the opportunity to make new friends.
There are lots of opportunities for free play, storytelling by the experienced staff members on duty, and also chances for the very young ones to lose themselves in their own make-believe world. Staff are helpful and friendly and very experienced with regard to making the children feel welcome, looking after them and keeping them occupied for hours.
Children are given great opportunities to play, to mix with others and to discover the world around them through storytelling and games. They learn through touching objects in the Kids Club, and they partake of arts and crafts to help stimulate creativity. Girls are given soft toys and dolls to play with, and the boys construction toys, even though everybody is allowed to play with all toys. There is movie time and video games, as well as opportunities for free play. All of this takes place in a clean, colourful environment which helps to brighten up the young one’s time away from their parents/guardians.
